What we collect
When you book a visit, request a quote, create an account or text us, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, mobile number, the service you need, and details such as a plate number or VIN. When you visit our offices we also keep records of the DMV and insurance work we do for you. We do not ask for your Social Security number or date of birth on this website.
How we use it
We use your information to provide the service you asked for, confirm and remind you about visits, reply to your questions and requests, run LJ Rewards and referrals, keep our records, and meet legal requirements. Insurance information is shared with the insurance companies you ask us to quote or place coverage with, and DMV information is submitted to the New York State DMV, only as needed to complete your transaction.
Text messages
If you opt in, we send text messages about your visits, quotes, policies, requests, rewards and renewal reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages (such as our texting provider) and only to send them.
Who we share with
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share it only with insurance carriers and the New York State DMV as needed for your transaction, with service providers that help us run our business (for example email, texting, hosting and our CRM), and when the law requires it.
How we protect it
Your account uses one-time sign-in codes instead of passwords. Our staff sign in with their own accounts, and access is limited to the people who need it to serve you.
Your choices
You can update your details and choose how we contact you (email or text) in your account at any time. To ask us to see, correct or delete your information, email DMV@LJInsuranceAgency.com or call (516) 218-1161.
